Rainfall activity has decreased significantly, with lake areas experiencing minimal precipitation. Nevertheless, the Upper Vaitarna Reservoir has surpassed the halfway mark, thanks to moderate rainfall earlier in the week and effective percolation.

While four of the seven lakes are already full and the total water stock has reached 78%, Upper Vaitarna was previously lagging. However, the lake finally reached the 50% mark on Thursday.

The lake has a storage capacity of 227,047 million liters and currently holds 115,648 million liters. Meanwhile, Middle Vaitarna is 83% full, and Bhatsa, the largest lake, is 77% full.

Although rainfall has diminished over the past two days, lake levels have risen slightly due to light showers. With two months of the rainy season still remaining, there is potential for the lakes to reach full capacity by the end of the season.
